I have not been around much. Have not even been in my sewing room.
How is everyone? What are you working on?
I need some inspiration........

I can relate to needing inspiration :? I think the winter has been too long and the weather too cold ! But I check in everyday and hopefully things will start to click again soon. Just hang in there. I am fine, how are you ? I think its hard to get creative when things are so crummy all around you. The weather, the economy, etc... Don't be a stranger, sometimes just popping in helps.

Hi Anne,
I am glad to have you posting again. For myself, I have been working on my DH D9P quilt top & it's coming along nicely. Today, I just finished my February BOM, with Christmas fabric for my theme. I hope it turns out nice. :D

Hi Boston, I'm in the same boat as you. Havent been near my quilting. Something about this time of year I find other things to do. Its crazy, you would think quilting would keep us warm.
I have to get busy soon and put together a quilt I am doing for sons birthday. I was going to send it out to be quilted but decided to do it myself. Once I get in the mood again I/we will be fine. Hang in there, spring is coming.

Yes, Sharon, the weather does play a part. I am trying to start a new one but really need to re-think the fabrics I am considering.

Sula, I would love to see your BOMs. Are doing Christmas fabrics so you can give it as a gift?

Zennia, It feels like Spring here already. Sometimes it gets to 65. Had the windows open several times already.

Hi, Anne. It's nice to have you around again. I finally finished my URR and this week I have to finish my blue and white star blocks for the exchange. I just started a new quilt for my youngest son.

I am also teaching a couple of ladies in my neighborhood how to quilt (wish me luck-I am not so sure that I am good enough to teach anyone, anything!!)

HI ANNE,
So glad to see you again.
I suffer the same problems
as you do big time and it's
really difficult to work
through it at times.
I am glad you have dropped
in to say hi as I was worried.

I'm glad you stopped in. Maybe go peek at pictures for some inspiration? I have this week off--so I must get a lot done--or at least I want to! I'm working on a Black and White Splash and I just sorted through fabrics for a watercolor floral log cabin. I can see it perfectly in my head--and oh my it's pretty  --but I'm not sure I can pull it off. :?

Maybe you should just sew some scraps together and see what happens. Make them into squares... or sew some strips together and cut them apart the same measurement as their width... then sew them together in a twist.

The B+W S I'm working on is a free form--I just do whatever I want.

Here are some photos to help you!!

Good to see you Anne - hope you're inspirations heading your way from all we quilters! I have not been doing any quilting to speak of lately - but things have just been hectic - can hardly wait for the calm to arrive so I can get back into the sewing mode.

Got our taxes done and mailed though, so things are moving forward at least.
