Check out http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...ppy+quilt+show on our own board. That should give you dozens of ideas as well as access to the people who made the quilts. Pour yourself a BIG cup of coffee and enjoy!

The possibilities are endless. I make up a bunch of ideas making scrappy quilts. The string quilts use a lot and their are lots of books on them. Almost impossible to use up all the scraps. I think they multiply.

String quilts use a lot fast. I use foundation blocks of ugly fabric or muslin & that uses even more fabric. Plus, I don't have to use a batting; I just call them "summer quilts". My guild has a "free" table where people bring stuff they don't want/can't use & whoever wants it can take it for free. You can stuff scraps in clear plastic bags & probably a lot will just "go away". Everybody's happy & the remodeling can start sooner rather than later. Happy quilting!

These girls all have great ideas for you. I just want to say what a lucky lady you are to have a hubby who will remodel a room to your liking! I'm sure all the fun of using up your fabric and getting a quilting room that meets your needs will be wonderful for you! I hope you enjoy the whole process

You could do a Boxed Squares. It just takes 2 1/2 inch squares and 2 1/2 x 6 1/2 rectangles. They are really gorgeous with lots of color.
