I got a 6600 the end of August and have just started using it. I have made 3 blocks with the 1/4 in foot and they are coming up about 1/8 inch short. Can you move the needle to the right to get a scant 1/4 inch. I think that would solve the problem.

Yes move the needle, and find the position that will give you the results you want.

I find it best to not judge on one seam ... sew together three 1-1/2" strips and measure to see if it equals 3-1/2". If not, move the needle again.

Good Luck!

Sorry to sound dumb, but I can't find where to move the needle.

Thanks,

Thanks,
Your manual will show you where/how to do it.

Thanks,
I have a 6600 and if you move the stitch width to a higher # it moves the needle to the right.

If you use your accufeed and the 1/4" foot that goes with it, you will be more accurate

You will have to move the needle to 5.5 to achieve 1/4" using that foot. But, yes I agree, that is the foot I always use when piecing on this machine.

Even with the accufeed I still have to move my needle a little to the left or
to the right. I do the 1/4" test with the three strips (as explained above)
every time I start a new project and it saves me a lot of grief.
