I have the opportunity to purchase a one year old Janome Artistic SD with table for $2600. The lady purchased it to use and then decided she would rather have a machine with a frame. She hated having to baste the quilt. I have used one in a sewing machine shop BUT I want to hear from women who have used this quilting machine at home. What to you love/hate about this machine and what should I ask or do when I demo this machine?? Thank you, in advance, for your two to three cents!!!
I have never looked at one of these machine. Remember, this machine ONLY does FMQ. My friend has a Janome mid arm and she wishes that she bought the next model up. Buying it from a private party, you may save money but you don't have any sales person to call when you have a problem with learning this new machine. Good Luck.

I think the reason she wants to buy it, is to do FMQ.
Also, don't forget that likely you will have no warranty as the warranty usually goes with the original seller. I would contact Janome to confirm that.
