Have you check to see if any of this model has sold on eBay?? The price is determine very often by condition. Good Luck in coming up with a price. Have you asked her what she would like to sell it for?? That is at least a starting point.

The Sewing Pattern Review shows someone paying $189 and reviewing it. Sorry--I just did a quick browse, but saw it was reviewed as far back as 2011. That helps you with when the model began to be sold.
i found one selling on amazon; $499 new.
i couldn't find it on the janome site, so i assume it's no longer being made.
i wouldn't recommend it for quilting.
apparently, the needle always stops in the up position.
that would drive me nuts.
no extension table available, as far as i can tell.
