I took some of my inheritance from my Dad and bought myself a little Janome Gem Platinum to take to classes. I am really impressed with this little machine. It is a little crackerjack. I am so glad I bought it.

I have had my SILVER for years and just LOVE it...what a machine..AND did you know you can interchange the feet with Elna's and Kenmore's...I bought the "quilting" feet at Sears cheaper than I could at the Janome dealer!

I love mine as well. It's the one I take to classes and retreat. Great Machine. I'm sure you will enjoy yours.

You can't beat Janome anything. Congrats. They also make a sewing/quilting table to use with it that is acylic.

I have the Jem Platinum also and absolutely love it. So glad you chose the Platinum as it has more features than the Silver or Gold. Yay!

Yes, I have that little "babe" and I take her to retreats. Does everything I need without issue!

I bought one 3 yrs ago and it has sewn MANY MANY MANY MANY miles!!! It's a workhorse! It's my ONLY sewing machine so I use it for all my sewing and I haul it to classes, too....I think it's the 'featherweight of the future'.... :)
