I just read this, that some accessories can no longer be sold online. This is really tough for those of us without a local dealer. I had planned to buy the stitch in the ditch accufeed foot at some point and wish I'd known this because I would have bought it before this new rule. So now my choice is to buy it from an unauthorized dealer online or try to get the dealer an hour away, who gives no discount, to order it. Note that I asked the dealer an hour away to order me a longer screw for the shank that the foot screws onto about a month ago and they never did.

Bummer. :(

eta: just read that brubaker's will take phone orders for these items. Never mind but it's still an annoying rule.

Thanks for the heads up. Luckily there is a dealer about 45 minutes away from me. Wonder what caused their change in policy?

When hubby had a Archery shop wasn't allowed to advertise some items below the MSRP value but we could sell it cheaper, just not advertise it :wasn't fair because sometimes could get things cheaper at Wa-m---. then we could buy from our suppliers .Was told because they bought thousands and small shops only bought in hundreds. Maybe they don't want to take away from the small sewing stores who are desperately trying to stay in business??

I know that I cannot buy my Janome 7700 online because of their contract with the dealers. You can only buy it in store. BUT in April since it will be a quilt show item them it is ok.. don't quiet understand that one. :)
