I want to make jar pot holders for some ladies at church for Christmas. Is the pattern on about.com the ewasiest way to make a jar block? I can't do paper piecing so will need to be pieced.

Would love to know this too. If it's paper pieced we could help you.

From what I have seen in the past and from the pattern links posted, it is a really easy block to do. Think of it as a snowball block with a lid attached. This is one that my 9 year old is starting to collect fabric for so he can make a quilt top with. Mind you he has not actually made a top yet, but he is wanting to do this one :D

This is the easiest block! I never thought about making them into pot holders; I'll need to try that.
