I used one JR and it measured 30 x 60 I don't remember how many times I sewed.......I should of kept track. However, when folded in half, it will make 2 baby quilts with boarders added............calla

There are several Jelly Roll patterns at Missouri Star. The tutorials are great. I made the Summer in the Park, it turned out great and was easy.

a jelly roll is normally 40 - 2 1/2" strips of fabric- so- sewn together- just as strips you would have 40"x80" if you sewed them both together the same way then sewed those together- you could have (about) 78"x 80" (figuring some trimming & seam allowance)
if you then added borders you could make it a queen-
if you do something with the strips besides just straight sewing them- it will make it less- since you loose 1/2" with every seam
there are TONS of patterns for jelly roll quilts- strip quilts

Look for a pattern called Two by Fours - with some extra fabric for borders this makes a nice twin size quilt out of one jelly roll.

Oh wow! yolanda your quilt is beautiful it looks like a basket weave, very pretty and all out of a JR Wow!

Ckcowl thank, you for the info on a JR and how much fabric is in one, Seeing this is my first JR I sure was in the dark on what to do with this gift.

Fraydknot12326, thanks for the site, will look into that one..

After receiving this as a gift I thought ...hummmm what will I do with this, but I was very excited to receive it..
