What about a log cabin on steroids? Those are super simple and a jelly roll would work I think.

This was made with 2 Jelly rolls plus the cream yardage. The Quilt is Queen size!

Thanks for your kind comments! The pattern is 'Barbed Wire' from a book 'Twosey-Foursey Quilts' by Cathy Wierzbicki. In the book it is done in homespun fabrics autumn colours and looks totally different!! It looks complicated but went together very easily!

There are several Jelly Roll patterns at Missouri Star. The tutorials are great. I made the Summer in the Park, it turned out great and was easy.
This gal is fantastic!!! she specializes in the pre-cuts and is a hoot to meet... If you ever get a chance to meet her or get to her shop in Hamilton Mo, you will love her!!!!

I have this pattern too!!!! and have the JR and charm pak ready to go!!! Love it ... you did a great job!!! :thumbup:

Those are SO FUN ... what a wonderful gift! Here's a sweatshirt jacket I did for my Mom using a jelly roll.
