I always heard Black Friday was #5, behind the 2 weekends before Xmas. That's why it's a "bad" thing when Xmas falls on a weekend, since merchants don't get as much traffic as they would if Xmas fell on a Monday.

I got the rolling sew machine cart,(it also has a handle on top if you want to carry it) that you are speaking of. It is black with red flowers, it wasn't as big as the one I got at Hancocks. I was going to return it. If you are interested you can PM and I will send a picture, & the actual cost. You will also need to pay the shipping from San Jose, California. Let me know if you are interested.

Don't despair about not getting through to Joann's. They are extending the online sale through Monday (and I bet longer if they still don't get their site up and running).

My store had new flyers out yesterday..one is for Dec 6-12 and the other Dec 6-24 (didn't see anything for the coming week, though). Anyway, the rolling tote is in the Dec 6-24 flyer for $39.99. Not as good as Friday's doorbuster, but still $50.00 off.

What I wanted to know is what items they are excluding from their free shipping offer and since you can't get through to the site, you can't find out. Perhaps customer service would know. However, I ended up at the store yesterday and got the big heavy items-sewing table, cutting table-that I wanted for the discounted price plus 20% off. Now to put together the cutting table...

Site's up! Wow, something serious must have happened to their servers for the site to go down for 3 solid days

Of course, it won't let me add anything to the cart... I'm going to work instead!

FYI on Joanns on line---they had so many hits on Black Friday that the website could not keep up. Most of the items that were being bought were sold out by 6 am and it all caused a shut down on their site. We were just too powerful a force for them.
