Wonderful description. I love it when someone agrees with me and get the answer I wanted. But also learn when they don't. Can't believe all the things I never thought of.

Course, as a newbie the number of "Wow! I never thought of that!" moments is HUGE. My first two quilts were sandwiched by taping the backing to the floor and crawling around for what felt like hours. Quilt number three was clamped to a table. No more floor for me! I've bound each of them a different way - happier with each one than the one before. My choice to accept "Good enough" and "Finished is better than Perfect" is due to the encouragement I find here. Hopefully my level of acceptance will rise with each quilt, but at least I'm getting them DONE! I have two more tops that are finished and now that I know I'm not going to be crawling and that they will be loved even with flaws I'm ready to move on down the road!

Prewash? Yes, definately. No, never. Depends.

Fleece backing? Of course, do it all the time. No way, no how!

Quilting? Hand, of course. Machine fancy. Machine plain. Tie the thing!

What a relief that is! Personally I look for the answer that affirms what I wanted to do anyway and deem it the RIGHT answer!

I've decided that we are all on a journey with our quilts. Some of us are in different stages of the journey; others are traveling different roads; some travel solo; some travel in groups - but, we are all headed the same place. A place that allows our creativity to flourish, our families to be warmed, and our love to show. How cool is that?

I agree also. I've never experienced such "instant" friendship. And someone always has an answer (or 2 or 3!) for you. It's like finding a whole other world!

I must say I enjoy the journey, and while I realize my "right" answers apply only to me, I do hold that they are the correct and true ones!

I wholeheartedly agree!!
I enjoy reading and trying all of the new methods, techniques and styles shown here.
I so appreciate that there are very few rules... and those few have really saved my bacon after reading/learning of them here :D:D:D
