Default juki

I have done quite a bit of research on good machines not only for quilting but general sewing including
light upholstery material and light leather.....For a price under 950$ it seems that the Juki 2010 is the best overall machine. Would you agree.??.I dont care about zig zag etc. People seem happy with it
and the stitch quality seems good. What do you think??

I really like mine. I do all my piecing and quilting on it. I use my Bernina 630 for embroidery and fancy stitching. I think the Juki has a nicer stitch.

I've resisted commenting on Juki's until now. Just have to....

I know folks in other commerical/industrial sewing applications that have nothing but Juki machines. These puppies go like there is no tomorrow. These folks cannot be without their machines and they sew miles of fabric on any given day with them. From very thin fabrics to very heavy and many layers of heavy fabrics.

One day, in my dreams, when I have boatloads of room - a Juki is in my future.

I love mine! It has been perfect right from the box! I expect many years of happy sewing with it. It sews a beautiful straight stitch, can be very fast or slow down if you want.

I love mine, would buy a second Juki 2010 to take to sewing group but it is really too heavy to lug around.

Love it!!!! The motion of the machine is so solid and smooth, it's really enjoyable to sew on.

And if you end up with questions the local dealer can't answer, Juki has excellent customer service. If my computerized Viking dies, I'll be looking at a computerized Juki.

But I have to ask - are you sure you don't need a zigzag, maybe to finish edges? A lot of us have the 2010Q as a second (third, fourth) machine. Just wondering.

hugs,
Charlotte

I now have two Jukis. My first one my TL98Q is perfect for piecing and quilting but I needed a few fancy stitches so I just bought the Exceed 600 (Quilt and Pro Special) and I'm really pleased with it. It sews so much better than my Janome 6500.
