    Just back from quilt retreat

I have just returned from a 4 day quilt retreat in Madison, Indiana right on the Ohio river. It is beautiful there and the leaves were turning so it was awesome. What a fun time we had. There were 52 of us and so much fun and laughter. It seemed like there was always someone laughing and talking. We had some demos that were great and of course the shopping was wonderful. I am going on another retreat in November and I can't wait.

The only way I could go would be if they offer "Husband Sitting".

I love to hear stories about retreats though.

Can you share info on the demos?

Just got back from a retreat on Sunday and have another one scheduled for next month with a different group. Love retreats as I get a lot done while having fun with friends. Glad your retreat was so good.

My group of quilters that I go on retreats with moved their retreats to my hometown a few years ago and it kind of took all the fun out of it for me. I drive a few blocks to the retreat now. I use to have to drive 3 hours up in the mountains before. My town is on the side of a beautiful mountain and we have a huge estate to hold retreats for everything. They have quite a few quilting retreats there every year. The first year I stayed the nights there. From then on, I went home at night to save on money. Then I didn't go because it's just down the road and doesn't seem like a retreat when it's so close to home.
I know everyone that works there. The town I live in has 600 people. When I'm there with everyone, I'm thinking about going home for some reason. Probably because it's so close. Wish they would move it. But all the women love it there. They love this little town. They wonder why I quit coming to retreats. I am going to try and make the spring retreat but not spend the night but eat meals there. But, I have to run home and feed my dogs and when I get home, it is hard to turn around and go back. Too bad they found my town!
