I've never bought a FQ bundle, but I buy individual FQs all the time. I like scrappy quilts (though I was just thinking the other day that I really ought to do a normal coordinated quilt one of these days!). I usually buy a couple of each when I find FQs I like, though. One's usually not enough for me.
