Just finished a baby quilt. . .send it or donate it?

Since it's for a baby, why not applique some patches strategically with the baby's name and birthday in Pixma pen? If it's a boy, the odd corners could become little trucks with the addition of windows and wheels, and if it's a girl, you could add a flower here and there with her name and birthday. For either one the applique could be a little bear, a duck or something unique to the family. There are tons of free coloring pages you can Google up for inspiration.
