Hi All,

Just a quick question I was at a quilt shop this past week and they were selling zip lock baggies full of scraps for $2 each. Just wondering if they would be worth it to buy the scraps looked to be a fairly decent size and the bags were stuffed full. Being new to quilting I wasn't sure if it would be a good idea or not to buy so I'd like to see what you guys have to say. :)

Thanks
Cindy

That is a bargain. I always buy these when I see them, you never know what treasures you will find inside. I found a bag of batik scraps once, bought it cheap and when I got home I had so many different batiks it was unreal. It has supported me through 3 batik swaps so far and I can still probably do one more!!! Go for it!!!!!!!!!!1

It is a great deal, IF you use scraps. If you aren't into scrappy quilts, I would pass it up.

For two dollars I'd say take a chance. If you get scraps you like and it's a good assortment you can get more. But start with one.

Go for it! Sounds like a great way to build a stash. I just took a chance on a Moda scrap bag for a lot more than that and now I can't wait to get another one.

I've purchased scrap bags and found 3/4 to 1.5 yd cuts in them, amongst various 3" squares - much fun!
