I think this pattern could use a warm color...if greens. blues and purples are more in your taste...toss in a bit of a toned down eggplant color and possibly an aqua...save the leftovers for version two. Kits seem to seldom hit the nail on the head when it comes to fabrics, I guess that is why everyone seems to have a stash.

Yes, I have the fabrics ... I got every thing cut except for the oranges LOL - I like the colours, just don't like them in this colour scheme.

I think I'll just leave them out!!!!

If you use their color choices you can always use your quilting to tone down the colors that kind of annoy you. I have found that if I do extra quilting with another color to bring all the tones in line that it pops in a good way.

In her post, I believe the kit is in hand. She can sub colors she prefers, rather than the ones she doesn't like.

Guess I am the real odd ball as I love it just the way it is

I also think the orange pops out too much. A soft yellow would be nice.

This is why I don't buy kits. The quilt is quite striking as it is, but if yellow would give you a better feeling I think it would work quite nicely. Love the pattern, but I like to choose my own colors which is why I don't buy kits. Whatever you decide I'll bet it will be gorgeous.
