Am happily reading all my messages when I get a box from http://server2.media jmp .com stating
(Auburn) Congratulations Quilting Board.com visitor. You have been selected to take part in our anonymous survey.

Then it opens a survey from a OSC online survey center.

I never click on any of it but it is difficult to close. Usually I have to close the Quilting Board and then start over by reopening it again.

I ran Malwarebytes but it didn't find anything. I'm now afraid to click on any of the links that any of our members submit. I have always gotten such great information and tips from all the various recommended sites but an now afraid to be adventurous.

I've been getting this too. It is not the QB's fault. I am winning from Wal Mart too. It is something we have clicked on, a cookie or something. It reads where we spend time and uses that website to entice us. Click the red X in the top right corner to get rid of it. But it will come back.....

Clicking on the X to close the window usually doesn't work. I just got another pop up stating I have now won a thousand dollars from "Quilted Paradise.com Visitor".
Don't I wish.
What is going on and what can I do.

When you have a popup of this type, do not click on the red X. Clicking on the X in malware sometimes runs a script that either installs malware or collects personal infomation. Highlight the topic bar in the window and click alt-f4. The key combination alt-f4 will close the popup safely.

JoJo Thanks for the tip on eliminating pop-ups with cnetttv.cnet. I had them repeatedly yesterday but none today after deleting them in the task master. Hope they don't come back.
I don't understand why I only got them in email from this particular site with the "from QuiltParadise" name on it. Thought I would have to stop coming here -- either that or I would try to read as much as I could, as fast as I could. That wasn't fun (I did get a lot of other things done though). Thanks again.
