My brother invited me over to his house tonight cause my nephews miss me, so I am going to have them draw me some pictures of spring, flowers, birds, watering can, etc. This will be a wall quilt with applique. They are 6 and 4, should be fun, I cant wait to see how it comes out. I just love those little guys so much, this is going to be my favorite project yet.

My mom did something similar with needlepoint.

She took drawings done by her grandchildren and needlepointed them into either pillows or framed pictures that went back to the family.

They're still around!

(And the grandchildren now have children of their own!)

That is a wonderful idea! I wished I had done that when my DGKs were that age
