Where do you buy yours, and what is the cost per yard? Joanne's had some white today, that was old and dingy, and even had a black squiggly mark on one part.
Has anyone bought from here?

I haven't bought from there. I ordered a bolt of kona indigo blue from my LQS and because I bought the entire bolt (22 yds) I paid just a little over $6 a yard for it.

My sister ordered from there. It took weeks to get processed and then they had run out of the material she needed.

The ones from Joann's are not the same as the Kaufman Kona Solids. If you compare them side by side, you will see the difference. The Kaufman ones are thicker, press up really nice and are great to work with.

Check out this link. You can search and check prices from many places all in one search. I've seen them for under $5 yard.

I get all my Kona cotton solids at Hancock's of Paducah. I get black by the bolt and other colors in 10 yard cuts (think I have about 20 colors plus PFD right now). It goes for $3.98 a yard at Hancock's of Paducah.

As for the claim that the Kona solids at JoAnn's are of a lesser quality, that issue has been addressed before and Kaufman Fabrics replied "in person" here: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-33854-3.htm#746926

I've bought Kona solids here: http://www.fabricshack.com/cgi-bin/S...man_konacotton They have a huge selection.

I really love sewing with Kona. It's so crisp and has a lovely hand.

When I purchase Kona Solids - I make CERTAIN it says KAUFMAN on it. Hobby Lobby carries it. Not sure about my Joanns. The prices is under $4-$5.00 a yard on sale. LOVE IT!
