I guess this is the opposite of a rant. On Friday, I placed orders with three different online fabric/quilt vendors. Was I pleasantly suprised when all three orders were delivered by the postman today!! The shops in question are The Calico Cottage Quiltshop from Rhode Island, Crazyquiltgirl Fabric from Michigan, and Whittles (especially Whittles who quickly answered an inquiry about shipping charges which was more of a complaint on my part; I decided to order based on their answer). All orders were placed after 5pm Eastern on Friday and were here in Buffalo, NY, by noon on Monday(today). Neat, accurate, well-packed orders all the way around, with very reasonable prices. All have been marked on my Favorites list, and I will not hesitate to order from any of them again. I just thought I'd share my experience with all of you.

So glad to hear of a GREAT positive experience!!
Another kudos to: Red Rock Threads in NV. I placed an order Friday for a Go Cutter die and received it in today's mail...this was my 1st order from them and won't be my last!! :D

I placed my very first order with Whittles about 2 months ago. I ordered quite a bit because I needed some backing fabrics. So my order was just shy of $100. Not sure if it was because it was my first order or because it was of a certain dollar value but they included a free fat quarter. What a pleasant surprise that was. I also received the order in less then a week.
I would definitely order from whittles again.

It's great to have a thread priasing vendors that excel in the customer care field. Thanks for rewarding them "out loud". :) I'd like to add one, too. Norton House in Wilmington, Vermont. http://www.nortonhousequilting.com/default.asp
I found them through quiltropolis after searching for an out of print fabric I needed. I ordered all that they had left, 6½ yards. Within a few hours, the owner called me (yes, on the phone) to say she only had 6 yards left and it was in two pieces. Did I still want it that way? I assured her I did and she said she'd get it right out to me. I had it in two days. I'm planning a road trip to her shop later this summer and can hardly wait!
