Default La Passacaglia

I wonder if any of you who have made the La Pass quilt? How did you sew it together? Did you EPP or just sew it with seams? Did you buy the book and follow the directions or just wing it? I bought the book and I have started putting some of the rosettes together. I started on the bottom left and it seemed like there was a mistake on the two bottom rosettes. I had to change the number of little triangle things to make the rosette fit. Just curious if I missed something or if there was a mistake in what kind of rosette it was. Making this quilt is like working a puzzle. Would love to see pictures of your La Pass.

I have been making my La Pass for about a year and a half. I am epp'ing it, and glue basting. I am winging it. I am planning on making the edges of the EPP part irregular and appliqueing them to the border instead of cutting a straight line. I started in the center and have been working my way out, but trying to get the left edge finished so I can start appliqueing the border on that one side. I have also been playing around w/ turning some of the rosettes into squares for other projects not the La Pass. This was my first time ever EPP'ing I am completely addicted to it and fussy cutting!!! I bet I have some pics in the computer.

There are several here who are working/ have completed pass, and I'm sure they will help. I am going to do katja marek's millefiore...paperpieces.com has each rosette pieces in packets and on Katjas site she has a very clear pattern for each section....I haven't started yet...life keeps getting in the way of my playtime...soon, I hope! Have fun with your challenge...

There is a Millefiori/La Passacaglia Facebook page that has over 6000 quilters posting pictures and talking about this quilt. Everything you want to know about it plus lots of tips and resources. Just like this board but only for the the La Pas. :https://www.facebook.com/groups/335041176691683/

I've never heard of it until now. Oh my goodness it's like using a kaleidoscope to make the pattern piece of a grandmothers flower garden. WOW!!!
