What info do you typically put on your quilt label? I was told it is supposed to have so much info on it the label would almost read like a book. Who made it, why, who made for, what it made of, when, where. I'm not sure the person I'm giving it to wants all that on their quilt.

If there's a name of the pattern, I put that
who is for
made and quilted by myself
town, state
for the occasion (say Christmas 2010)

Check with the person you are making it for. Otherwise just use minimal information; i.e., who made it and when.

I usually put who the quilt is for, name of quilt if it is named, my name, town & state. If someone didn't want all that info on the label I would keep it short for them.
