Default Label Question.

Sorry for yet another label question.
I made a quilt for my nieces' wedding. The quilt is dark earth-toes and the backing is a dark brown.

1. What color should the label be?
2. Should I add the quilters information?

The quilt is awesome.

Is the pdf you attached the label? You plan to include the photo too? If so then you need to select a light color so the photo will show. Like maybe that light gray in the top in the center of the green sections or the lightest green. You may have to experiment with both to see if the photo shows up ok.

I don't think it is appropriate or necessary to include your LAQ info. That is usually only done if the quilt is entered into a show. And I say that as a LAQ.

Edited to add, I would include your relation of Aunt and Uncle in the from and Uncle in the made by. You never know when a quilt will become an heirloom and it is nice to know the relation for provenance.

First, let me say I absolutely love that quilt. You did a marvelous job. As to labels, mine are always the same no matter what the backing looks like. Large (6x9). I like to put a lot of information on them.

Are you going to print the label on fabric? I would use a beige or tan (similar to what you already have in the top) muslin. It will show the picture and the lettering well. Nice quilt - nice gift.

Boston1954, I love your label. Imagine the delight of someone finding that quilt in the future, and feeling connected to the quilter!

I would use a beige for the label, and would list the piecer and the quilter.

Feline fanatic, that's great info for the label. Be sure to always include familial relationships when appropriate. I've done considerable genealogical research which always laps into historical research. Having the relationships is always so nice for future generations.

Thank you all.
I will see if I can get some of the light green fabric, if not some tan muslin.
I will make some changes to the verbiage and get it printed and attached.
Again,
Thank you all.

I was so happy to see this quilt again. I spent hours looking for it so I could find the pattern. It is beautiful and would like to make it in the near future. Could you please post the info or the link to the original post? Thanks in advance.
