Landscape quilts

I like using batiks, it provides color variations and give a more realistic look to the picture. Flower, trees and animals are not a solid color but a variations of shades and tints of colors that blend.

I used the drier lint to make clouds on a recent wall hanging that I haven't posted on here yet... reminds me, I'll do that now! :D

watched sewing with Nancy a week ago.. she was GREAT. An author of the book "landscape quilts" was on..
that author uses EVERYTHING! she cuts pieces of fabric out of the oddest fabrics and she gets stones, grasses, clusters of flowers ect.. even tree trunks out of oddest looking fabric. I don't think she cares.. her landscape quilts are known well.
good luck
