Lap Quilt Measurements Needed

Would you be cutting these squares yourself? It seems like many of the ready-cut ones are only five inches square.
If starting with 5.25 inch (5-1/4) cut size squares,
That would give you 4.75 "finished" size squares -
If you are planning to make this without borders -
11 x 4.75 = 52.25
12 x 4.75 = 57.00
13 x 4.75 = 61.75
14 x 4.75 = 66.50
11 x 13 = 123 squares
This would yield a top size of 52.25 x 61.75 inches - assuming 1/4 inch seams

Okay. If you start with a charm square (which is 5 inches square) and they finish to 4.5 inches. You will need 12 charm squares to equal the 54 inches wide. Then you will need 14 to equal 63 inches long (60 inches ends up with .333 of a charm square). So if you multiply 12 times 14 you get 168 charm squares.

No used the AccuQuilt 5 inch square which has the quarter inch added to it.

I was given fabric from one of the guilds I belong to cut charm squares for them to use later this month at the Magnolia Festival in a neighboring town. I was just curious as to how many lap quilts it would make. I finished cutting that fabric last night and have 1200 charm squares so they should be able to make roughly 9 charm tops to make quilts with.
We set up at the festival each year and educate the public about the guild and what we do. Some of us actually sew while working the booth while others sell tickets for a queen size quilt and money made is usually donated to some organization. Last year we donated almost 800 dollars to the library in that town to use for childrens summer programs.

According to Accuquilt's website, the squares cut at 5" but finish at 4 1/2". http://www.accuquilt.com/go-shop/die...-square-5.html
