Default Places that sell 1/3 yard cuts on-line?

I'll preface by saying I quit buying fabric in 2001 and only in the last few years have bought a bit to fill in colors that were gone.
I'm a scrappy quilter. Buying yardage means I'd see that same fabric in 10 quilts before it was gone.
I like buying 1/3 yards, it is much friendlier to my quilt making style than fat quarters.

so...is there anyone out there that sells 1/3 yard cuts? I'm down to the bottom of my yellows, aquas, grays and pink.

I don't know of anyone who does. Cuts usually have to be 1 yard before they will cut the extra 1/3yd. I hope someone here knows of someone that does.

My starting point is equilter.com and they offer half yard cuts.

They don't have many options right now, but for stash building I always look at their scrap packs.

Sometimes they have a theme that matches exactly what I want, my black and white bundle was particularly excellent. They are the miscellaneous bolt ends, so usually a sloping cut across the full width of yardage .

My usual 2nd stop nowadays is Fields, a small chain in Michigan. I'm not exactly sure from the website if they are fufilling orders right now, but it looks like they will cut down to a quarter yard!

QuiltedTwins.com has a good selection of half yard bundles. Their fabric varies from okay to LQS quality.

iceblossom, I like Fields physical store. A large variety of fabrics. My 4th daughter's wedding dress fabric came from there.

Iceblossom,

FYI: I have received two orders from Fields in the last month. They ship very quickly.

I started using Fields a couple of years ago, when I was looking for very specific themed fabrics and I was checking on Amazon, I often found what I wanted was coming from Fields so now I just skip a step and go there first. I have received several orders from them, perfectly and promptly. Same for equilter, been using them a long time now.

It happens that my hubby is from Grand Rapids, so this comes from his old stomping grounds but I was unaware of them. I had hoped that I would go to the quilt show in Grand Rapids this year -- looks like that isn't going to happen. Hubby's mom and aunt still live there and I would get to visit with them too. I know these aren't words people usually hear/use, but I love my MiL and wish she was closer and we could see her more.

Connecting threads is a good place to buy a lot of one color fabrics.

This shop seems to sell 1/3 yard cuts:

https://www.quiltersobsession.com/cart

I put .333 yds of grunge yellow into the quantity box, and added it to the cart. In the cart it gives the cost.

Fabric Shack will cut 1/3 yard, you put .33 in the yardage box. For that matter, they'll cut 1/8 of a yard (.125).

Prairie Point Junction has the same decimal system for yardage, so you can put .33 in there, too (or presumably, .125).

Rossville Quilts and Little Red Hen sell FQ.

Quilts 'n Gifts, L'il Red Hen and Wash Tub quilts sell 1/4 yards.

I try to support the on-line stores that will cut smaller amounts, as I really appreciate it!

I like buying 1/3 also and I was in a fabric store in Phoenix and buying 1/3 of a yard of 10 different fabrics. I told the girl cutting fabric that I need 1/3 of each and she looks at me dead serious and said they don't cut less than 1/4 of a yard. Fine, I want 1/3 - she called over another woman saying I wanted 1/3 and she tried to tell me that I couldn't have less than 1/4th. The new woman said not to worry she would handle it. After rolling her eyes, she cut my yardage. I can do so much more with 12 inch strips over the 9 inches.
