I've been reading the message board for awhile now and there are many quilting techniques I have never tried. One of them is applique. I got a kit from 'Connecting Threads' recently and it had hearts and stars appliqued on the project. I juut thought, durn it, you ladies are always doing all this fancy stuff with your sewing machines, just try it! I have an Elna sewing machine with discs that are inserted and they produce fancy stitches, one a small blanket stitch. So, thank you very much everyone! After many years of using this sewing machine to make clothing and repair many pairs of jeans, I finally used one of the discs! The project looks great! I surprised myself.

Next step is to figure out how to get my pictures from the camera site to here!

It's never too late to learn something new. You might have fun doing some crazy quilt blocks, where you can experiment with your other disks. Have fun!

Isn't it fun when you find a function on our machines to use on a new technique? It is almost as good as getting a new machine!!! :D :D :D
    I can't wait to see your quilt!!! :D :D :D

It sure is wonderful when you get to try new things. I have lots on my machine that I have never used, but I am wanting to try them now.

Good for you!! And you can join my club. I had just learned to do the picture thingy and my server changed the format. Now I can't do a thing. But I really am enjoying everyone's work.
