Yep...there's a lightly used dust ruffle (with the whole sheet top) in a disgusting puce colour (dye project gone wrong) languishing in my linen cupboard....Time to give it a new lease on life

Yup! I buy them all the time-have to have a label that states 100% cotton tho-Also pillow cases,table cloths,uniform tops, PJs, sheets-I now have a HUGE stash! Love thrift shops.yard sales etc. It really makes it hard to pay high prices for Quilt shop fabric! Very addictive!

And that's what the original idea of quilting came about. Recycling fabric ( and back then it was all cotton) for another needed purpose. Be it old shirts, bedding, dress's etc, if it's in good condition and good thread count it gets in the bend for quilts. Who said women aren't ingenious.
