Default Layer Cakes?

Ladies,
I don't have enough stash to do anything with and the pattern I want to try next calls for 1 layer cake. I went to a LQS and they only had Kansas Troubles. I'm trying to get away from that because I do love it, but now have 2 made quilts and 2 more to make with that fabric.

Where do you purchase your Layer Cakes or where do you recommend I purchase a cake from?

TIA-
Ginger

I got one from connecting threads. Really like their fabric there! Never had a problem with their shipping or customer service.

A good idea for searching is go to www.quiltshops.com and in the search box, type in: layer cake sale

Connecting Threads and/or Keepsake Quilting have a good selection.

I LOVE Green Fairy Quilts and they often have fabulous sales on their pre-cuts.

You might also check www.fabrci.com. I have done business with them for years and have been delighted with them.

I especially like buying my precuts (layer cakes, charm squares and 2 1/2" strips) from Connecting Threads because you don't pay any extra $ for their doing the cutting. Their sales are great. If you are comfortable shopping online, I would suggest checking them out!
