I have a friend who tats, she was gifted with a large amount of tatting thread and some original patterns from the Kansas City Star. The patterns are the original newspaper with dates back to 1929. She is curious as to the value of these patterns to collectors. Can you help me with this?

I've wanted to learn how to tat for years! Can't seem to follow the instructions in the 'how to' books past the first circle. Do you think your friend would give long-distance lessons?

See if you can find similar things on ebay, and get a feel for the value by what others are asking and/or paying for similar items.

Check out the how-to videos on Youtube... I think I might try it again. The videos are pretty clear.
