I also have a Rowenta that leaks using tap water. I go to my friend's house and get water that's run thru her water softener and my iron doesn't leak. I also go thru less water.

My Rowenta also leaked - I use it to dry iron but bought a yard-sale replacement for steaming. I am dreaming of the day when I can find a Black & Decker classic iron and have it for my very own.
