Does anyone have any tips on using the 4D Embroidery System? It came with my Huskvarna Topaz 30. I love using the designs that came on the stick, but would love to venture further into embroidery.

Here's a website but I've never used it so I'm not sure how much info it has.

I've looked closer and I see it only has a few actual tips. Sorry.
Maybe someone else knows more.

Can your dealer help you? I have the HV Ruby (5D software) and my dealer is awesome...she has embroidery classes for all the HV machines and if you are having problems, you bring your machine and project and she will spend hours working with you and teaching you how to get the best results and about all the functions the machine has (that I would never know if I weren't shown!) Yesterday I was there getting some fabric and she was pretty much DOING the embroidery for another lady with the SE. (and this is a small mom-and-pop -literally! dealership.)
If your dealer can't/won't help you, call HV and have them find one that can.

I have a Topaz 30 and also the 4D. My 4D didn't come with the machine I had to buy seperate. The best advice is what the others said and take all the classes you can from the dealer. I will try and help you if I can. Is there a particular thing you were wanting to do?

I love the 4d program, you can use it to combine designs to make your own, you can delete some of the stitches if you want to remove part of a design, just practice, there are instructions in the book and under help section. Enjoy it is alot of fun.

I did call my dealer again. There has recently been a change over of personnel and I think I am now on the right track :D . I plan a trip to see her in January. The dealer that I use is a five hour trip from home!

Do you know if the disk manager should be loaded from the disks that came with the system? When I tried to use that the last time I looked at it, it was not on my computer. Maybe my DH missed loading that part.

I appreciate your offer to help. May contact you again. :-P
