Thread: Left over GFG segments...what would you do?

I have about fifteen extra flowers from a quilt I am making and have two ideas in how to use them up. Either applique onto a solid piece do white fabric with the flowers all spaced out. Or appliqué each flower onto a square of white and assemble with smashing. What would you do?

If you did a solid piece of fabric, you could add stems and a bow and make a bouquet quilt. In my head it is really cute.

That sounds cute in my head too!

I vote for the applique each onto a seperate block and add sashing-don't forget the pictures!!!

I think a bed runner with matching dresser scarf would be lovely. You could also use them in tablerunners and placemats. A baby quilt would be nice as well.

I've attached a picture this time. These are flowers left over from a GFG I am completing. Each flower is about 12" across and I have 15 of them. Enough that I can make another quilt I think. My thoughts are either to applique them on one large piece of white fabric well spaced or on white blocks with colored sashing to bring to size. What do you think?

I have made many with left over flowers and, yes, I applique them onto a larger square and then sash them. They make great I Spy quilts for kids as well as lap throws. I back them with fleece. Have fun, GFG's are so much fun and your flowers are lovely.
