Has anyone have suggestions for leftover muslin. I have different size pieces that I don't really want to sew together and use for a backing on a quilt.

I use the extra muslin for pattern drafting. Like when I made family members each their own styled Nook e-book covers. Or when I made my own designed notebook computer cover. Using the muslin for purse, wallet, or otherr idea is always thrifty. Even if I have to join a few pieces, it doesn't matter. I am only making a pattern to see how it fits and [sorta] looks.

Potholders, mug rugs, microwave mitts, oven mitts, strips and squares, triangles, foundations for crazy patches.
Well that's about it this morning I still need to finish my coffee, LOL ;-)

I use them to add batting to back of small projects so that the batting does not get in the machine. Then, I use the birthing method to put the backing on.

Use them for fabric foundation blocks/string blocks.
