i use them to make cage comforters for the local animal rescue. i just add fabric to them to get them
to 18 x 24..the usual crate size.
also, i think premie quilts for NICU's is 36 x 36..

Sometimes I work all my leftover blocks into a sampler. If they are all different sizes, I either add fabric to make them all the same size, or usually, just fill in between the blocks with a solid color to make kind of a crazy sampler.

Mine are resting nicely in a tote. I still haven't figured out what to do with them.

There are some members who work on charity quilts for their region. I have sent some blocks and bits and bobs out to be used in whatever fashion they want.

I did not know that NICU's accepted quilts and I am going to have to get in touch with my local hospital to see if I can help in that area. My oldest daughter was 8 weeks early & I spent the first 6 weeks of her life in the NICU. She's now 21 so it was a long time ago, before such wonderful programs existed.

It depends, sometimes I will make a charity quilt or a scrappy quilt or even donate them to my guild. I also use them for appliques.

If the quilt is bed size, the extra blocks could go into a border for pillowcases.
