I've been thinking about getting one of these lights for my sewing machine for a long time but hated to spend $50. Last week, I was "shopping around" on the internet and found it for $24.99!!! WOO HOO!!!

Let me tell you...this light makes all the difference in the world!! I can actually see what I'm sewing :) I think it helps me sew a more accurate 1/4" (at least I like to think so!).

Wow that's a good price. Where'd you find it?
Also, can the battery be replaced in it? Or would I need to buy a new one?

    Colleen,
I agree with you about that light. I have it and would hate to be without it. It is well worth the money. I got mine from Quilter's Warehouse.

Doesn't good lighting make a world of difference? Worth every penny even at regular cost. I just bought a great LED magnifying floor lamp. I love it. I can see perfectly to do cross stitch on linen if I ever decide to to that. LOL. I can thread a needle in a second and on first try using the lamp. It is Mighty Bright LED, the newer model.
(be sure to see one assembled before buying, if it is top heavy it is not the newer one)

I bought mine at www.sewforless.com. There is no battery. It plugs into the wall and the LED is guaranteed for 100,000 hours. That's a LOT of sewing time!! If you sew, let's say, 4 hours a day that gives you 25000 days and that gives you 68 years!!! Is my math right???

I need one of those. In fact, I think I could use more than one. Will have to check into getting a couple.

I'd get one if it wasn't a plug in. I already have to plug in my overhead lamp, sewing machine, iron, fan, and I think there's another thing or two plugged into that strip.

You might not need an extra one - you can just buy an extra mounting disc, and stick that on another machine, then just move the light from one to the other.
