Default Light box

I was watching the Fons&Porter hint section and this was mentioned. You put one of the tap lights under your clear acrylic table that goes around your sewing machine. You can trace small designs onto fabric using it as a light box. I had heard about putting a tap light into a clear storage bin and tracing on that but this would be so much handier.

That's a good idea, if only my acrylic extension was the clear version!!

I pull out the leaf in my dining room table, stick a short lamp underneath and a 16x20 sheet of glass over the gap in the table. This works for me.

My ext table is solid. When I bought a new fridge, I kept the clear shelf from my old one and it makes a great light box. It makes an excellent surface for crafts. It has come in handy for many uses.

I haven't found a clear plastic bin that had a smooth bottom. All have a something stamped and ridged right in the middle.

Great idea, I have the clear acrylic extension table, just hadn't looked at it that way! Thanks! GEMRM

I saw this show last night too, and appreciated this tip, though I already do it.
I was wanting to watch the video from the show again, but cannot find it on their site - any idea which series is currently showing on Create TV? Last nights show was NOTHING BUT TRIANGLES. Thanks.

Check the Create TV website. I check it monthly and print out the schedule - mark it on the calendar. Also, check your local regular PBS channel, ours has a program on on Saturday morning at 7:30am.
here is the link for Create:

Ah - found it - 1501. But it won't show the quilt. Sigh.
