question about string blocks & using paper
#1
I made a string block today, using the method of putting a strip of fabric in the middle held in place with a wipe of glue stick. When I went to remove the paper - I couldn't - what am I doing wrong?

if you used a washable glue get the paper wet- that should make the glue let go- if you are going to use glue you only want to use a tiny dab- just enough to hold the first piece in place= pins are easier to remove :)
if you did not use a washable glue it might take some work to get it off == water should still help

did you shorten your stitch length? ... this makes tearing that paper easier. But I never use glue, just hold it in place with your fingers and sew... not hard, I don't think... I use old yellow pages as my paper.
