You and i are doing the same thing. My daughter in law is expecting her first baby in july and they are naming the baby lily.
as soon as they told us the name back in March i knew i wanted to make a wall hanging first and then a quiltl later on. I am looking for a free pattern to follow. And i know time is getting shorter . iI have to find one soon. Did you get yours done yet?

I haven't, but I think I am going to applique the name on a wallhanging. I'll hang it on a dowel suspended on a ribbon. I may glue silk lilies to the point where the ribbon joins the dowel.

That sounds very nice.
but i am going to stick to the one i have in mind. I have one from McCall's that i got free off the internet. I Just would like to make it bigger. they give measurements of 21/2 " squares. I guess i can adjust my measurments to make it bigger.
Now I have to find the time to get started. Too many social things going on right now.
