Default Little Magic Bobbin Genies

I was reading about this item and wonder if any of my Quilting Board buddies have tried them. They seem too good to be true. If anyone has experience with these, I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks in advance.

Interesting. I use enders to prevent any bird nest or either then, hold onto the bobbin thread when starting. Were there any reviews on Amazon??

Yep, I read the reviews but I am a little mistrustful of reviews from strangers, especially since learning they are not always unbiased. I also use enders but not habitually.

You might check leahday.com. I believe she recommends them and sells them. I follow a lot of her advice, but haven't felt I needed these.

On a recent quilt, I was using dark thread in the needle and light-colored thread in the bobbin. I was getting "backlash" on the backing of my quilt (tiny loops of dark thread) when changing directions in my quilting. Tried Bobbin Genies, and didn't notice any improvement. I tried all sorts of tension adjustments, and finally decided to live with the backlash.

P.S. I think I'll stay away from combination of light and dark threads for the time being! ....

This has been discussed many times, if you use the search function you can see the exact responses. As with any gadget, some folks swear by them, some found they didn't seem to help.

I used them in all my machines. Sharon Schamber recommended them some years ago so I tried them. I can tell they do something as they get thinner and thinner over time. I'm still using from the first package.
