I am looking for ideas for a local craft sale. Last year I made Potatoe bags and pot holders - they were very popular - trying to come up with new patterns - so has anyone seen any new fun patterns for pot holders? I am thinking that I will make those bowl holders for putting a bowl in a microwave. If any one has any ideas I would love to hear them and links to patterns. Thanks...Otis

My sister did a bunch of oven mits but made two covers for every one heat-resistant mit. She said they went over really well, especially since she used fabric for local sports teams.

Went to a Craft Show on Friday and the biggest sellers were "Snap Bags" in all different sizes. Covers for e-readers were also popular. Runners, mug rugs, wall hangings didn't seem to be selling well while I was there.

Those pot pinchers are very cool, I really like them cause they are small and do not get into the food like the regular ones. However they do not work well if you do not use the reflective batting.

simple tissue holders, easy to do and folks usually buy more than one for gifts

Aprons have made a HUGE come back , a good demand for Mother & daughter sets as well as Father and son sets. Tote bags is slowing a bit. Seems every quilter is trying to sell the bow tuck bag or similiar... lot of $$ invested and labor for not good money.
Tablerunners in elegant fabrics and flatter batting are very popular. I just had a show and sold 30 runners , could have sold more if I had the inventory. I came home with No runners.I saw runners being sold in an another booth all with the puffier batting ...she sold one!
Not sure what type of show you are doing but play to the overall budget of the show... if its upscale or just a small local ..

What about the sleeves for plastic bags made from a tea towel. There is a tutorial on QB.
