Hi! First, I hope I am doing this right. If not I apologize in advance....Last summer, I inherited a 306K Singer..sews like a dream. I would love to piece quilt tops...Not sure how to get a quarter inch seam. I tried the zipper foot, which allows for the needle placement. This leaves the feed dogs open and pulled threads down into the bobbin area, locking up the needle. Had to have repairman to get the threads out....hoping someone here can help.
thanks

You should be able to buy a generic 1/4" foot that fits your Singer. I have a 221 Featherweight and had no trouble buying extra feet for it.

I will try that. Didn't know if generics would work. So afraid I will break something. Thanks.

Is the 306 slant needle or straight? It probably has a short shank. I like April1930s Shoppe for my 301 accessories. 301s are slant needles. She will have regular presser feet, plus a nice 1/4" one for both short shank and slant. I like the no shipping charge.
