    Lone star easy easy pattern

I'm looking for a very easy 8pointed lone star pattern or tutorial. I have been looking and the easiest I have found is by Kaye .... But it has 8 points. Is it possible to do her method making 8 points or is there an easier way.

If you do a google search for 8 pointed star quilt pattern you will come up with several sites to check out for patterns.
Have a great day sewing and remember to "not sweat the small stuff"!!

Check out Calico Carriage - they have some wonderful patterns including a lone star. Hers are all done with half square triangles so you don't have any set in seams.

I have never made a lone star block but here is an interesting web site you might want to look at: http://sandandsunshine.blogspot.ca/2...tar-trick.html

I'm confused. You want an easy 8-point lone star, and Kaye has one, but it has 8 points, and you want to do it with 8 points? What is the problem?

Have you looked at EB Quilt in a Day?? I have yet to find all my quilting books since my move 3 months ago. I made my first Lone Star using her book. There is also a company that prints a lone star on the lightweight interfacing that I have heard makes piecing easier but I never tried it. You have to be able to sew a constant 1/4" seam so when you do the diagonal cuts, the points will match. Good Luck !!
