I need help getting the points togeter so they're is not a bubble. The directions say use a trangle ruler and on a single point make sure it is 45% on a double one 90% Once you have it lined up do you cut the extra fabric off? And then put together with a 1/4" seam?

When I made my lone star I had to rip out and redo the middle section twice and it still volcanoed a little bit. In the end the volcano quilted out. I suggest doing a fairly long stitch length so it will be easier to take out if necessary. Once together if it isn't volcano-ing go over with your normal stitch length.

I didn't use any rulers to line up the seams I lined up the points of the diamonds that radiate out in the rays of the star.

Do you think I need to cut off the extra fabric that doesn't line up with the 90% angle or the 45% angle I will use the long stitching good idea thanks
