My local (30 mins away) quilt shop is owned by Menonites (can't spell that word to save my hinee) and I was just wondering if their prices were out of line?? Here they are...
Crib 45x60 $32.
Twin 72x90 $53.
Full 81x96 $58.
Queen 90x108 $69.
King 108x120 $86
I haven't checked around anywhere else. Mind you I live in west central WI in a small town.

Those prices are incredibly low! If you like their work go for it. I don't think you will get a better price anywhere.

It totally depends on the kind of quilting being done. They are very reasonable depending on what the quilting is. Where I live they sew by hand~~not machine!

One question--do you supply the batting or do they? According to the prices I charge they are extremely reasonable. I supply the batting (usually cotton) and for a queen size all-over pattern I usually get $100. The King is normally $125-150. So I would say they are very reasonable.

those are incredable pricings for quilting. either by hand or machine. If you like thier designs then by all means go for it.

Nope. The batting prices in your example would be Queen-5oz 9.50 and for 6.6oz it's 10.50 added to the price. Then they have a price list to add the binding on. ie...Queen 90x108 $35. King 108x120 $42. I have seen their work and it is beautiful.
I am quite positive that its done on the LA.

doing the math for just the queen size quilt it works out to .007 cents per square inch. the is 7 tenths of 1 cent. how on earth can they do that.
