I am new to long arm quilting (still waiting for my machine to arrive!). What videos or books do I need to watch and read? Free is preferred but if the resource is worth the money I would certainly purchase!
thanks!

Sew much to do in sew little time!
I have watched quite a few videos on u tube you will want to watch Jamie Wallen about tension
Patsy Thompson quilts on a domestic but she has great videos. She breaks the designs so you really learn. I also like Kimmy Bruner's videos.
Books that I would highly recommend are Hooked on Feathers by Sally Terry, 365 Free motion quilting designs by Leah Day and any book by Angela Walters. There are other good ones, but these are the ones I refer to the most.
Angela Walters has many tutorials, videos to check out.

You could do a couple of the craftsy classes. You usually can catch a time when they are on sale for 19.99 or less. Also look up Jamie Wallen, Angela Walters, Leah Day, Christina Cameli, Patsy Thompson, Linda V. Taylor and APQS on Utube and via Google. All have free tutorials that are good.
Handi Quilter has some free videos that are good too.
my fav to recommend to newbies is The Pajama Quilter. Her web site says they are sold out, but I found it on Kingsmen

I have both of her DVDs. LOVE them both. Easy designs that look great.
No affiliation with Pajama Quilter or Kingsmen.

This is a free craftsy class. I bought Angela Walter's class, also on craftsy and it is very good, especially if you are more of a modern quilter.
I also watched several videos by various quilters on utube and on Handi quilter, since my machine is an HQ Avante.
I don't want to brag but I can still fit into the earrings I wore in high school.
Linda Taylor has awesome videos on YouTube. Search Linda Taylor 101
