Longarmers vs. home sewing machine
#1
I am wondering how many long armers there are vs. non long armers? I am getting more and more inspired to pull out my BSR (Bernina Stitch Regulator) and give it another try. I haven't done much machine quilting in the last year and a half due to shoulder surgery. Wasn't real good before the surgery!!! I am think I should go at it again and really, really try. Would like your input.

I went to Leah Day's website and started with her easy tutorials. I set up my laptop next to my sewing machine and did what she did. Some turned out great, some didn't look like hers at all, but none were outright failures. It's a goog way to learn and build your confidence!

I free motion quilt with my Juki which has a 9" throat. I don't have a stitch regulator. After about 5 years most of my stitches are okay, but since I don't plan on entering anything in a competition it is okay. Just takes a LOT of practice.
