Default Look what I did over the holidays!

I was off work due to a Christmas closing all of last week. I took advantage of the time to make this log cabin lap quilt for my dear friend and neighbor Gladys who is approaching her 90th birthday. I just have to hand sew the back of my binding to complete it. You will notice that I made a pocket on the back corner. I have a lovely old handkerchief that was embroidered with the name Gladys on it that I will tuck into the pocket for her. I quilted it with FMQ stitch in the ditch, stippling around the outside borders, and a flowerlike design in each of the log cabin centers. Hope I am successful in sending the photos, and forgive the photo quality, as they were taken with my phone. Thank you for looking!

What did you do over the holidays?
Happy New Year!

Beautiful! And what did I do? Let's see....does frogging count? I frogged 1/3 of a baby quilt when the thread on the LA went off track and I failed to notice right away...sigh...
